The Social Media Business Forum, was held on October 23, 2009 at the School of Education at North Carolina Central University in Durham NC featured national and regional speakers from marketing companies, technology companies, and social networks discussing ways in which business communications have changed due to social media.
The Social Carolina calendar was created in 2007 to provide a central online location for technology, social media, marketing and other communication meetings, meetups, conferences and gatherings.
